Tropical Rainforest, less than one hour from Brisbane CBD? It’s True!D’Aguilar National Park, home to Mount Glorious and Mount Nebo is a beautiful day trip from Brisbane and well worth a visit. It’s packed with Rainforest walks, Lookout spots and Waterfalls, Lakes, Rivers, Creeks and masses of wildlife. You could spend a week here and still not fit everything in.We did the Maiala rainforest circuit to Greene’s Waterfalls. I should note here; waterfalls in this area are… well… This time of year is probably when we have the most rainfall and it was still not much more than a dribble 🙈🤣 BUT – The rainforest is amazing, it almost felt like I was back in The Daintree. The trees tower above you, fighting for the sunlight, vines twist and turn around each other and palms thrive along the forest floor. We took a peak out at the views at Western Window, Western Outridge Lookout and Jolly Lookout – here there is bbqs and bathrooms; perfect place to have a picnic whilst you take in the viewsWe followed the tourist signs from Brisbane – Samford up to Mount Glorious and then drove back via Mount Nebo back through Enoggera. Had it been summer, a trip to Enoggera Resevoir (Click Link for more) would be perfect after a day of hiking and exploring. Can you spot our furry friend?
