Nungwi, Zanzibar

Nungwi, Zanzibar, Tanzania.

We settled on staying 4 nights at the north-west of Zanzibar in Nungwi because I’d read:
a) the beaches were filled with white sand and clear blue water
b) It was a smaller quieter strip than the other towns
c) Easy access to great snorkelling

I can now confirm that a + b were 100% accurate.  The beaches of Nungwi were the best I have ever seen.  Yes at low tide there is quite a lot of sea-weed but a high tide virtually none with cystal clear, insta-worthy water.  The smaller town was perfect for us, perhaps it stretches around 1km along the beach with a great mixture of down to earth local eateries mixed with some more modern ‘fancier’ restaurants/bars you can read about that here.

Oh and on c) Easy access to great snorkelling – You can check out my account here!

Picture’s will speak for the rest of this one:
